Pickled Strawberries? Really?? That's what I said too. But oh, my gosh. These are good. AND it's strawberry season right now, so if you have some strawberries on the verge of getting too ripe, this recipe is perfect to preserve that fresh strawberry sweetness just a little longer. Try it with some of our lime flavored FalkSalt!
1 pound strawberries
1.5 cups white wine vinegar
2 TBSP sea salt OR FalkSalt Lime Sea Salt
2/3 cups water
Place strawberries in heat-proof jars. Bring the rest of the ingredients to a boil and pout over the berries. Let cool and refrigerate.
Delicious on a charcuterie board with cheese, or on a summer salad. Also yummy right out of the jar!
